If you've landed on this page, it means you've been awesome enough to ask how you can help promote Girl On Purpose. You are an advocate for gender equality in education. Thank you! Your support means the world to us!

The eBook launches on Tuesday 11 October which is also the United Nations' International Day of the Girl. Proceeds from the book support She's the First and the worldwide basic education and literacy effort via Rotary District 7020 to educate and empower girls.

Every purchase and every donation helps get us all closer to gender equality in education.

Supporting these organisations as much as possible is the ultimate goal. We have also set another goal to sell 5,000 books. That would be a tremendous amount of inspiration into the world and incredible support for girls' education.

Here are some actions that will make a big difference:

  • Help amplify our message: We are running a Thunderclap campaign to help us be heard by getting as many people as possible to say the same thing at the same time. If we reach our supporter goal, Thunderclap will blast out a timed, pre-written Twitter and/or Facebook post from all our supporters, creating a wave of attention. Join our Thunderclap and help us make a powerful noise by signing up here. [Update: Our Thunderclap tilted with a social reach of over 86,000 people on Facebook and Twitter. You can still spread the news online with this post immediately or any of the pre-written posts shared in "Spread the word on and offline"]

  • Spread the word via email: Do you know someone who might just care about gender equality? A good place to start is anyone who was, has, or knows a girl. You can also share with someone who just likes doing good. Or even someone who would appreciate a wealth of insight and inspiration from our 52 contributors. We've drafted an email that you can just copy and paste into an email to your network. If you have a newsletter, online community, or some other platform that you can include this in, that would be wonderful! Get the draft email options here.
     
  • Spread the word on and offline: If you're online, that's a great place to share Girl On Purpose with your network and encourage them to get involved too. We have some tips and pre-written posts you can use online (and ideas for ways to share even if you're not very into social media!). Grab them here. If you want some images to share, we've made a collection showing a few gender equality and education related facts and quotes - it packs a punch! Get those here.
     
  • Give the book as a gift: Girl On Purpose makes for purposeful and purpose-filled gift. Consider purchasing a copy for someone. When you purchase a copy for yourself, you can purchase a second copy by selecting the appropriate option at checkout.
